Intelligent spray technology

EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AN HONEST COMMITMENT TO THE HEALTH AND VITALITY OF FARMING OPERATIONS HAS BEEN A HALLMARK OF BURROWS SINCE 1939.
This tradition continues with TurboMist Agricultural Sprayers, from Slimline Manufacturing Ltd. With locations in Wenatchee and Yakima WA, as well as North Plains, Oregon, Burrows has also been leading the movement toward Precision Farming for customers across the Pacific Northwest.
Precision Farming is concerned with sustainability, cost effective processes, improving yield quality and meeting consumer demand for healthier products. More than anything, it is about helping farmers reduce costs, and improve the profitability of their operations. With the inclusion of TurboMist Sprayer technologies at all Burrows locations, the drive to help improve the economic and environmental sustainability of crop farms was top of the list.
“TurboMist Airblast Sprayers offer our customers the ability to reduce their fuel use, reduce their
chemical use, improve their coverage and more than anything – improve the quality of their yield. Those attributes meet our priorities of helping customers in a time of rising costs, and increased consumer demand for affordable produce”, says Mark Martin, General Manager of Burrows Equipment.
The TurboMist Airblast Sprayers feature a patented, high-precision Turbine technology that takes in twice the air pressure it needs, allowing for consistent and targeted flow of the spray at lower RPM, preventing drift and providing significantly enhanced coverage of the plume. Requiring lower RPM, the spray is lobbed into the canopy where it wraps around the leaves rather than blows through – saving fuel and chemical cost, while simultaneously reducing the noise level of operating the machines – something anyone with neighbours will appreciate. Kim Blagborne, Owner and President of Slimline Manufacturing, producers of the Turbo-mist Sprayer series, has a similar perspective.
“We’re wind and water engineers first, and yes, we take a lot of pride in the quality of our manufacturing, but our real job is to make growers, farmers, and the agricultural industry as a whole more sustainable, more profitable, more effective in our resource use – and that includes financial resources. The TurboMist, whether for a 5 acre or 5,000 acre farm, gives our end customer that advantage that they need now, and will need even more so in the future.”
Burrows and TurboMist will celebrate the partnership at an event and demonstration on June 05, 2018, hosted by the OSU extension office at Cooper Orchards in The Dalles. The day will feature product demonstrations where guests will learn about calibration, nozzling, reducing fuel usage and improving coverage with TurboMist’s patented Gear-Up, Throttle-down spraying technique.
